LENEXA, KS (January 25, 2017) – Matt Kocher, an innovative leader in the animal health industry, has joined Ceva Animal Health as
director, marketing, for poultry and swine. He joins Ceva as the company continues to expand its product portfolio and position itself as a key resource for producers and veterinarians.
"It was important for us to find someone who thoroughly understands animal health, but is also on the cutting edge of marketing strategy," said Gary Baxter, vice president of poultry sales and marketing for Ceva. "Matt stands out due to his experience on the farm and a proven track record in marketing. He will help us better serve our customers and help take our business – and their business – to the next level."
Kocher joins Ceva from Elanco Animal Health, where he was brand manager for U.S. swine marketing. He previously worked for two of the nation's most prominent swine producers. Kocher was associate director of nutrition technical services for The Maschhoffs and technical services manager, production and nutrition, for Premium Standard Farms. He holds a master's degree in animal science from the University of Illinois.
"Producers and veterinarians are looking for partners who don't simply sell products, but offer solutions," said Gary Robertson, director of Ceva's swine business unit. "Matt has the background and marketing expertise to help us do exactly that. He will be an important asset for Ceva and for our clients."
Kocher and his family reside in the Kansas City area, and they enjoy getting back to the family farm in Olathe, Kansas, whenever possible.
