LENEXA, KS – OCTOBER 30, 2013  --  The Protect the love Facebook page created and managed by Ceva Animal Health surpassed the milestone of 100,000 “likes” earlier this month.

The online community launched in February of 2013 and is known for sharing information on pet health and well-being. The page is sponsored by the Vectra family of parasiticides for dogs and cats, and is one way Ceva delivers on its missions to protect and help nurture that important bond between people and their pets..

“We wanted to build a community where people could come together to show the love they have for their pets. We never imagined that pet parents would embrace it as quickly as they have,” said Karen Padgett, DVM, Chief Operating officer of the Ceva Animal Health Companion Animal business. 

The page reaches fans in all 50 states and 45 countries.

“Posts from our community demonstrate how pet owners embrace that loving, protective spirit that comes with a close pet relationship. They are eager to learn new ways of ensuring a happy, healthy home for their pets and their family,” said Dr. Padgett.

In honor of reaching this milestone, Protect the love is running a pet photo contest seeking fall or Halloween themed pet photos.  Weekly winners will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card and some tasty pet treats from Protect the love and Three Dog Bakery®.
